Sailing to Isabella Island

After breakfast and checking out of our hotel, we met Veronica, our tour guide and walked to the Darwin Center to see and learn how the young tortoises are raised. There we met Lonely George, the last tortoise of it's kind along with numerous other tortoises and iguanas. It was a hot blazing day! After lunch, picked up our stored luggage from the hotel and took a taxi ($1-2) to Muelle port to catch another ferry to Isabella Island. It was about a 2 hour high speed boat ride to Isabella Island.
We were greeted at the port by Sandra, our next tour guide. There we boarded the tour bus from the hotel which took us to the Vicente Hotel (approx. 10 mins away). After checking into our hotel, Sandra took us to the Flamingo Lagoon to see some pink flamingoes. We were lucky to see several grazing.
After dinner we walked around the town. There was not much to Isabella Island, a few hotels and scattered small shops around. There was absolutely no night life and the place was practically dead by night time.
