Ramblings of a Canadian

Bangkok Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

I guess traveling has always been a part of my life, since I took my first flight from Toronto to New York at the age of 3 months. Now it is my passion. Here are my travels done in the last 7 years, most it done in the last year and a half. Ill put up some more pictures when I get back to my apartment in Iowa City, due to the fact I have a slow internet connection here at work.

Wow, this is going back in the memory banks, but I figure Ill do my best. Basically, this is a fantastic city. It was about 35 degrees celcius and humid as anything, so getting a hostel/hotel with A/C is really worth it. We took a temple tour that took us to the main 3 Buddhist temples in Bangkok. All of them were incredably beautiful, and I believe with only a small donation, free. My personal favourite was the Emerald Buddha, no real reason why. PatPong is an experience to itself. Its a market where you can buy ANYTHING. The exterior is also lined with strip-clubs and the adjacent streets have prostitutes if thats your thing. I was only 14 and but they still tried to pull me into strip-clubs and offer me beer (ah that Thai hospitality). As always, Enjoy.
