i went to vitoria to get to ouro preto, i thought it might be a nice town, but my stay was eventually very short there.
the "hostel" was more a hotel (right next to the rodoviaria) i got a single room for the prize of dormitory! with television and a private bathroom that was nice for a change, and the breakfast was very nice as well! but in hotels you just don't meet anyone! and i guess there weren't that many travelers around in that city! the first day i took the bus to the beach of vitoria, well i guessed that there would be something to see, but there were just business buildings and apartment blocks, well the scenery is actually quite nice to see, similar to rio, but there is just nothing around to visit! so i went to the shopping center which i saw on the way by bus, to get there i walked along the beach and got myself a coconut to drink, that was nice! the shopping center was huge, but i kind of hoped for a cinema but that wasn't open jet, although it was already on the map, so i searched for it with no result! but i bought some cloths so the journey wasn't for nothing!
next day i planned to go to vila velha, the neighbour town of vitoria, cause in my guide there was written that it has a nice old convent to see on top of a hill, where you have a great view, but i didn't made it there, i just didn't got along with that really stupid bus system!! even worse than the one in floripa! first i ended up somewhere in vitoria, than i made it to vila velha but just to the place for changing the bus where i took the wrong one again, so i returned to vitoria (you cross a big bridge between those 2 towns) but i didn't give up so eventually i took the right one, but i had absolutely no clue how i could get up that hill, i saw it on the bus journey! but right next to my bus stop there was an other shopping center, and this one had a cinema, so my decision was quickly made! after that day i deserved to see a good film, i saw blood diamonds which i liked a lot, so i was happy, i had a good dinner at the center, chinese food! after the film ended i walked to the beach in vila velha, just to see if it be much nicer, well i kind of liked it more, it is for sure great to live there with a beach on your front door!
but than i needed to get back cause my bus to ouro preto was at 10p.

m. so climbed the bus home, well i needed to change that one of course again, which i all made correct, than i saw a carrefour supermarket, so i left the bus and went to buy some food for my journey and something for dinner, so i had to get back in a bus to get to the hostel where i left my luggage, but it took more than an hour until the next correct bus came! and that one was completely packed! and worse it didn't stopped where it supposed to have! so i saw my hotel sign passing by! and the bus went on and on and just didn't stop until i ended up being in vila velha again, and it was dark and it was pretty favelas looking where i went of! but i needed to get back cause it got later and later and i really wanted to leaf this town, so i stopped the first taxi and payed a lot of money to get back! but it was worth it, i ran to my hotel and got my luggage and headed to the rodoviaria, but i made it on time!
i was very glad to leaf this place!
