i arrived in floripa after a whole day in the bus, from canela to caxias do sul from there via lages to florianopolis. on that trip i saw some enchanted landscapes, very green!
i got to the rodoviario late evening when it was already dark, even though i desides to walk to the hostel, as usual i didn't have a reservation (but it wasn't season jet, so usualy no problems to get a bed!)
i found the hostel very easy and i felt really safe, the town looked unusual clean and organised for brasil!
i got a bed there and i fell into it immediatly!

after a week with almost no human contact that hostel was just what i was looking for, next breakfast i met a nice bunch of people who told me that we had to get out of it in 2 days because of an examen in local universities, but there is an otherone in the north of the island, so i didn't bother at all!
i spent the day with washing my cloths in a very close lavanderia and just wondering around, i found the local mercado municipal where i bought myself a pair of chuinellos (flip flops) i had never seen a bigger choise of "havaianos" in my whole stay there! and very reasonable aswell!
but part from the mercado i was a bit disopointed of the town, everyone was telling me before, that floripa is the best place to go, seemed that noone was thinking of the town!)

at night i went out with 5 other travellers (all male!) it was difficult to find a place we were able to hang around without paying entrance! not much to do in the city center!
next day we all had to get out of that hostel and moved to the north one on the "praia canasvieras" (the argentina beach) to get there you have to take the bus to the closest "bus change station" where you find a bus to the beach, the hostel was found easily and there was plenty of space, but less cool than the one in town! we all spend the day  on the beach heading from one bar to the next one (not my idea but  i was glad to spend time with nice people) but next day it seemed that noone was around anymore so i went on my own, i tryed to get to the "praia mosambique" but i sort of got in the wrong bus! they stopped in the middle of nowhere, i kind of knew where i was so i desided to walk, in hopes that the beach wasn't far, i walked along the street for atleast 2houres untill i found it and i was wearing my new flip flops for the first time and it hurted a lot!!!
the beach was very pretty and not many people around (paradis for europeans!) the water was a bit cold but o.
praia do moçambique
k.! home i got with the right bus!

next day i tryed to go to the hidden beach in the south part of the island (hidden because you have to walk along a path for 2 hours to get there!) i heared that this beach must be the ultimate beach you can find! but it took me 4hours with that very stupid bus system they have on that island! to get there, so there was no time to go to that beach it was already getting dark! but what i saw in the south part of the island i liked much more than the north one!! a shame that i stayed on the wrong side of it! to get home it took me even more than 4 hours because i sort of got lost!! there were nice assistend that had to help me out, i really hate that bus system!!!
so i was glad leaving that place!
