Flying Into Glasgow At Night

Arrived back in Glasgow just after 11 o'clock at night, though now having gone back the three hours it did feel more like 2am as it would have been in Moscow. Made our way through the Domestic Arrivals, but when we got to the baggage reclaim we had to go through  to the other section for passengers whose flights started outwith the EU. Were debating whither that just meant direct flights, when our bags appeared on that carousel. Had arranged to be picked up at the oputside drop off area, and by the time we walked over to it my old man was already sitting waiting to give us a lift home.

In the house by about quarter to twelve, and had a quick check through the mail, but nothing that looked interesting enough to open. New series of Dr Who had started while we were away, and son was insistent that we watch it before he went to his bed, so it was half past one by the time I got to my kip, feeling pretty knackered after a long days travel.

torontobee says:
Superb blog as always Ian - the pictures and writing very evocative - surprised more of Moscow wasn't damaged in the war - or if so they have repaired things very well. Several of the buildings incredibly imposing and impressive.

Great stuff :-)
