The ship docked in Santa Cruz, which is a bustling city. The streets are very walkable and there are lots of shops and cafes to enjoy. We found a large farmer´s market selling all sorts of yummy fruits and vegetables. There was a large art museum and performing arts complex that were in unusual and interesting buildings. The art museum had an exhibit of Picasso´s sketches that I really wanted to see but unfortunately it was closed on Monday.
We found a great place for lunch, the menu of the day was a mixed salad, a mini-pizza, your drink and ice cream, all for $7 Euros which is about $10. The mini-pizza was actually a 10 inch pizza, so we could have split it, but I still managed to have room for hielo chocolate!!!
As we were walking around I saw lots of beautiful trees and flowers and had to take pictures of them, so many of my pictures are of trees.
We did not get out into the mountains at all, but would like to return to Tenerife and see more of the island.
