(*Note = 'Tis not a romantic story) =)
It was outside the hostel i live in that i first saw him. He was putting on his shoes..
Him : Hi :)
Him : Where r u from?
Me : Malaysia, u? (smiles shyly...)
Him : I'm from London (smiles back adoringly) R u with that guy?
Me : yeah
Him : Oh.. (looks dissapointed). I'd better get going then..
Me : (Heavy heart) No.. no.. we just came together, we're not together.. (hoping that he gets it)
Him : Oh right.. ok.. (start smiling again)
Me: Phew.. he got it..
The next thing i know.. we were talking about almost everything!! Soul mate travbuddy found! :)
*Isnt it funny how some people are just so easy to be with? Even with bad shoes, blisterred feet, and a rising fever. I've come to learn that having a good travelling companion really DOES make a different. Even with the bad weather, even with no money, even when we had to walk for miles (cuz we got lost, lol), we travelled happy.. Light-hearted conversations and some silly jokes make a long way so short, i'm surprised that i almost didnt want it to end.
To my Bloody English Friend..lol, thanks for the short but happy times. Thanks for saying Hi to me when i needed someone to do so. Because of you, i'll always try to smile and say hi to someone when i travel. Who knows? It might come to a beautiful journey...just like ours :)
Terima Kasih and Be safe,
Your 42-year-old friend ;P
