On travbuddy.com I had received a welcome message from Yasuyo. She also pointed me to a forum topic (http://www.travbuddy.com/travel-blogs/52404/Cherry-Blossom-meetup-Expo-Park-15) about a Cherry Blossom meetup in the Expo (Banpaku) Park in Osaka. All I had to do was show up at Ticket Gate 3F, Takarazuka line, Hankyu Umeda station at 10 in the morning. I told her that I would be there and would be easily recognisable in my orange outfit. (she was worried she wouldn't recognise me because my profile picture was me, dressed up as Santa Clause).
At 10 I was at Umeda station, platform 3, trains leaving for Takarazuka but never found Ticket Gate 3F.
Later in the park we would meet up with several more people). We did some shopping, mostly for lunch and alcohol but the Sushi really looked good as well. After a few trainrides (including the monorail) we reached Banpaku park and enjoyed a whole day in the sun there. This park is what the Dutch beaches are to German tourists. You bring a plastic sail and claim your territory. Then you enjoy food and drinks and the surroundings the rest of the day.
Eventually everyone left and the Osaka team and me toured the park. I like smaller groups more so for me this was even more fun and I got to know a lot more about Osaka, Japan and the 3 Osaka ladies. By the end of the day I returned to Hiro`s Guest House and enjoyed the footbath some more
