Lunch is served!! :)
This mornings scheduled meet-up time was for 10:30am at Ben's Chili Bowl which is located across the street from the U Street/African-Amer Civil War Memorial/Cardozo Metro StationAddress:‎.

We planed to leave Annapolis around 9:00am, so we were all up by 7:30am. I knew Ben's was open early for breakfast, but being Easter Sunday, I wanted to be sure they were open and at what time, so I checked their web site. Looks like they don't open until 11:00am today, but as things have been going, I figured no one would be there on time anyway, so I wasn't worried about calling anyone or posting it on the meet-up page.
Since breakfast was now going to be lunch, and I was hungry, we had a lite breakfast of Swedish crisp bread, thin sliced ham & Swedish
Västerbotten cheese, coffee, juice and some fruit, before heading out to D.C. If you're interested, you can get the Swedish crisp bread & cheese at any IKEA store :)
Once we arrived at Ben's Chili Bowl, I got a message from Jenn saying they just arrived and were already inside at a table in the back. Looks like the first one there today was Mike, who arrived at 10:30! Sorry Mike, didn't think you would be early today after being out till 4:00am two nights in a row! Do you ever sleep?! hahaha
Already seated and checking out the menu was Carole, Mike, Jenn & Chris.

Bill joined us about 5 or 10 minutes later. This was my third time here, and as always, the service and food was excellent!! The poor lady serving us was more than happy to take our picture with multible cameras in true TB style! I've written a review about this place before which is attached to last years Cherry Blossom Festival blog, so check it out, and be sure to give Ben's a visit when you are in D.C.!!
After a great lunch, it was time to say goodbye to everyone and get Lola headed to the airport. Since she has a 2:45 flight time, she brought her bag with to Ben's. After a final group picture or two, or three, or four (which I apparently didn't get)... and many hugs all around, Lena, Lola and I got back on the Metro. The rest of the group headed back into the city for more site seeing, so check out their blogs for further adventures :)
A few stops later, we changed trains said our last good bye to Lola, and put her on the Green Line headed to Greenbelt where she will catch the bus to BWI Airport.
This was an awesome meet-up and the weather was perfect! It was GREAT meeting everyone, and seeing Bill and Lola again!!! I hope everyone had a good time, and we can't wait for the next time we get to hang out together again!
