Here were my very favorite places:

Canadian Cities:  Toronto (Ontario) and Quebec City (Quebec)

New Brunswick:  Fundy National Park, old city of Saint John, Hopewell Rocks

Nova Scotia (Mainland):  Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Halifax, and Peggy's Cove

Nova Scotia (Cape Breton Island):  Cheticamp on the Cabot Trail, Cape Breton Highlands National Park

Prince Edward Island:  Charlottetown in old town, Anne's Green Gables house in Cavendish, and PEI Preserves Co for lunch

Labrador:  stunning drive from port to Red Bay, Pointe Amour Lighthouse, Northern Lights Hotel & RV park

Newfoundland:  ah, wonderful NFL.  Who could choose amongst so many wonderful places?  I'll try to select:  Gros Morne NP, Bonavista, St. John's city and harbor with Pippy Park RVing, Twillingate, Rose Blanche lighthouse, the Alpacas of NFL on Port au Port penninsula, Harvey Family Trail on Isle aux Morts with Hairyman the hero dog, and picture-perfectTrinity.  That's the best I can condense.  Trust me, plan to go for the whole summer!

Favorite Place Names:  Truro, NB because it sounds like Scooby-Doo.  "Rut-row!  Truro!" and Blanc Sablon (Quebec port into Labrador) - because it reminds me of the goose in Charlotte's Web saying it!

Best Festivals:  Shediac Lobster Festival in NB (got 3 lobsters in the Lobster Eating Contest!); Highlanders Festival in Antigonish, NS (where else can you see big men in kilts throwing logs into the air?)

Best Ice Creams:  Farmers and Scotsburn- keeping testing to find a favorite

Favorite Provinces in order:  Newfoundland and Labrador (both locations top notch); New Brunswick tied with Nova Scotia; PEI (still lovely)

RV Travel Tips:

NS repealled their Anti-RV overnighting law July 2010, thank goodness.  My Boston friends at Hopewell Rocks said it had happened the previous week and they had printed the paperwork.  If anyone has that documentation and can send it to me, I'll upload the link here (and give you a *gold* star!)

Newsflash:  Of course, dear Evelyn gets the gold star(!) with this link:

Check Canadian gas prices before you go at www.gasbuddy.com  We found gas was cheapest in NB ($.99/liter), in NS and PEI ($1.05/liter), Newfoundland ($1.08 / lt), and Labrador ($1.18 / lt) as of Summer 2010.  Multiply liters times 3.8 to equal gallons.
