The National Park Service runs the Gateway Arch and has the experience down to an art. It was not busy by 4pm and we got right up on the next tram (every 5 minutes).
The little capsules that take you up to the top of the Arch hold 5 people and gently lurch to level as it goes up. 660 feet up in 4.5 minutes and only 3 minutes to get down.
