This time the curious group of us visited a homestead in Wulkow that completely concentrates on living and working as ecological and sustainable as possible.

Nowadays this project is established in the community but it had to make a stand against opponents during the past years. However, thanks to dedicated people from all over the world who support the project's ambition and stand up for the same aims heaps of innovative ideas were realized.

The very special eco-house, the so-called UFO, is just one of the highlights that can be found there and offers a kind of different way of housing (a pretty neat holiday home, by the way). Other than that we enjoyed the bright and aromatic herb garden, a certain jungle feeling among old trees, the presence of those ecological lawnmowers in form of woolly sheep and the offer of the local organic grocery store. Yes, there were quite a lot of intriguing facets to discover.

Later on we went to Lebus which’s a locality near the river Oder known for its unique flora especially characterized by the little yellow and quite rare pheasant’s eyes. Every spring people come from near and far to sneak a peek (and so did we).
