Keiko, Kelly and me

Wednesday after work, Kelly and I went out with our coworker, Keiko from Japan, to go cruising on the Han River. She’s been here for 2 years and hasn’t been yet because she didn’t have anyone to go with so we were happy to go. After work, we went to the Lotte Hotel to join the tour group (tour was in Japanese) and hop on the tour bus. We first went to a restaurant on the dock, and then we went on the boat. After working for a boat in New Orleans for 2 years, boat rides are nothing new to me but it was fun to go with a friend. The boat had a horrible magic show on the bottom deck and the top deck had decorations to make it look like an aquarium and field, really bad. After cruising for a little bit we stopped to see a light/water show of the Banpo Bridge. It was neat to see because we weren’t expecting it. After the boat ride we went to the Hyatt Hotel to see the view. It was really pretty but drinks were really pricey.

Last night we went out with Lily and Kathy from school. We went to the south side of the river and basically restaurant hopped; food and drink here, food and drink there. It was good to see a familiar face. It had been too long.
