Goggle Face...

Frito pie!
Today was sunshiney beautiful at Wolf Creek. The snow was hard and packed...unfortunately slick in some areas. I ventured over to the area accessed through the Alberta Lift and found patches of deeper snow, empty open space, narrow paths through the trees, and moguls...moguls galore! I spent most of the day skiing by my lonesome...something I actually really enjoyed. It's so exciting to get lost and find your way again...to feel as though you're discovering new territory, at least new to you. I took some challenging runs through the woods and also a couple nice and easy ones. The easy trails had no fresh snow left on them and were super quick because of that...not my favorite. I managed to forget sunscreen...a mistake in the mountains...and it looks like I'm still wearing goggles, though I am most definitely not. Lol. Hopefully my face won't burn the pillow tonight while I sleep. My best friend Jodi gets her tomorrow and I can't wait to watch her snowboard for the first time. I've been a few times before and decided that it would be nice for her to have a novice companion to fall down with. I'll be renting a board and making another attempt at it with her. It's supposed to snow Tuesday and Wednesday, please cross your fingers...anyone who's ever played in the mountains knows it's nicer to fall in powder! Cheers...sleepy time...
