Finally arrive in Goa

It was a gruelling eight hours to reach the international airport in Bombay..  we collected our baggage from the carousel and made our way through the green channel outside onto the main concourse.   We must have been the palest people in the airport!!  Which is GREAT!! because everyone swarmed our way to help.. or not really help but do something like carry a bag or push our trolly so that we would give them some money... they're so deserving of it....  the winner of the free-for-all on the new arrivals was a little guy with odd teeth called Anthony.. or Andy.. but that's not important.  He practically wrestled the trolly from my hands and led us to the onward flight check-in desk.  Or so we thought...  After getting royally ripped off for our first beers in India at an airport bar/restaurant we decided it was about time to check-in.  The clerk told us that not only were we at the wrong desk, but the wrong airport and that we had to get across town to the domestic airport in time for our connection!!!  Once again we parted with enormous amounts of cash for the taxi across town (something like 10 times the amount it should normally cost) followed by the taxi man not only asking for loads more, but trying to reverse into us as we got our bags out of the boot!!  Anyway, we made the flight with plenty of time to spare.

We arrived in Dabolim airport, got off the plane and claimed our baggage.  The moment we stepped outside, we were surrounded by taxi drivers and hotel owners trying to convince us that they were better than the next guy..  We got a taxi to Tito's road in Baga to meet Gaz (who had arrived in Goa a few days before).
