The Dalmatia World Music Festival!!!!
I cant understand how this could be considered a work camp. All we do is eat, tan on the beach, sleep on the beach, and dance. It is amazing! Last night was the first night of the festival. There were a good 1000 or more people there in a field with a huge stage and bleachers. We had VIP passes which let us go hang out with the bands and drink for free, etc. Croatian reggae music is amazing. I had so much fun! Even though I have no idea what they are singing about, the beat and emotions are so much fun! Afterwards at around 1am, we went to our castle, Kula, and there was a HUGE party going on. Hundreds of people in our little castle, eating fish, drinking, singing, and all that. I hung out with the craziest croatian guys who just talk and talk. I also, somehow, managed to get in a deep conversation with a croatian rastafarian about the racial and political unrest during the war. Oh, and Mar, Sara, and I were being followed around by an 80 yr old man in a kilt. Oh the randomness! So, today after no sleep, we all went to Kula to clean the aftermath. I have never seen a mess like that before. And we will have to clean it all up again tomorrow morning. I am having a great time here in Kaštela Kambelovac. But whenever I have some downtime, which is often enough, I get homesick and miss you. Love you all.
