So there's a saying in Ireland that goes "May you have food and raiment, a soft pillow for your head, may you be 40 years in heaven before the devil knows you're dead" :) I'll drink to that. Slainte!

Belfast

Belfast Castle

So I spent the weekend in Belfast with my host's niece and nephew. It's a cool city, fun people. But I guess it's still pretty divided.  The ports are in the Protestant area of town and I guess that's where the Titanic was built. So there's a joke around here.... While the Protestants were building the Titanic, what were the Catholics doing? .... Building the iceberg.

I think I finally found someone who gets lost as much as I do. James, the nephew of my host mom, was kind enough to chaffuer me around for a weekend and we tried to go to a gaelic football game but ended up driving 45 minutes in the wrong direction and not making the game. So we decided to drive to Belfast Castle instead, but we got lost doing that, and then we got lost on the way to take me home! I told him never to go to Pensacola. But in our defense the roads are a bit confusing here and street signs are non-existant on little roads. I will never again complain about the street signs in Reno!

Also... never order a Black and Tan in Ireland.

I can't believe you met anybody who gets lost more often than you do ;)

I'm glad you're enjoying yourself!
