Mandurah is one of the place famous in Western Australia for the seafood, located south to Perth, easy trip will be with train , then with bus. Train from Esplanade Stn to Mandurah Stn takes around 40 min. From Mandurah Stn, trip with bus for around 10-15 min, then we reach Mandurah Foreshore. There is a nice seafood store, selling crabs, prawns, fish, oyster, raw or ready to eat. Crabs were our choice of the afternoon. With only 2 crabs per person the cost will be around 15-16 AUD, plus drinks and ice cream as desert, total meal would be 22-23 AUD, not too bad for satisfying seafood! Many other restaurants around as well, like fish and chips, chinese food, indian food, japanese food, ice cream, bakery, coffee shops, and also liquor stores. We found one with variety of wines, whiskeys, beers, and champagne. Nic e views and lots of trees and places to sit, make this area a crowded place for family picnic. Sea gulls could be really noisy when you tried to feed them and they started to scream and compete for the food... (actually it’s not allowed to feed them, but we’re just too curious...). There is also a cinema (“Reading Cinema”), but the outdoor view is just too much to be missed.
