I went on a mountain skiing trip to Slovenia with my family for my New Years Eve break. Actually i had never set foot on moutain skis before that trip. Surprisingly, it's true what they say about it being easy - by the third day i got a hang of it and pretty much graduated from novice to semi-amateur. Mind you i hate cold weather, so that's like a grand achievent for me to even go to a place like that. Despite my love of sunny beaches, lazy naps in sunbeds in the shade of a tropical palm and things of that nature, I liked the mountain landscape of Slovenia very much. I really enjoyed my trip even though someone stole my skis outside the hotel in the end of our vacation (i was dumb enough to leave them and not come back to get them in the evening, which you are supposed to do - so it's on me). Last week we went to a similar ski resort 30 minutes away from my hometown and even though it was nice quality-wise, i was once again reassured that EVERYTHING is more expensive in Moscow and its surroundings than anywhere else in the world - from food and a place to stay to the actual ski passes. So Slovenia was a cheaper and more authentic (after all, Moscow's no mountain area) solution for me when it comes to skiing

Kranjska Gora Hotels & Accommodations review
i was satisfied with everything in the hotel. We also spent New Year's Eve there, and the gala dinner was wonderful.
