whats up!? so last night i went to nikki lees house for dinner which was quite great but the really thing that blew me away and is one of my most favorite things about this trip was going to chill with a steel pan band. it was out of this world the band consisted of 50ppl and usually has 150 ppl in it but the were so energetic and excited about there music, they became the beats of the pans! then we went around for a drive in st. james.

then today we drove around port of spain and st. james for a bit. we got to stop at a nice mall in st. james to get some lunch and i enjoyed a smoothie while i bought some trinidad stickers (yes kimmmie one is for you of course) a pin, and a gorgeous cooper braclet of a banana leaf! its so pretty :) then for the rest of the day i was on a boat basking in the sun and swimming around turkers bay in the caribb. sea. we ventured around the two island on the tip of trinidad and checked out the houses on the islands so nice and not to bad in price.

then we came back to the villa through st. james to get some homemade ice cream, something i had been waiting for since i went o maracus bay. i got papya and peanut icream the size of a kimbals medium for only 2$ or 12TT. it still amazes me how everything here is so fresh or home made and so cheap!!!! the rest of the world could learn from this. and our villa keeper miss. jenny cooked us diner tonight which was so nice but honestly i have to say all the food here prettty much tastes the same adn is a lot of carbs, i am quite excited for some granola/LOTS of veggies/yougurt and fruit .

well tomorow i will be going to a school to teach about how ppl can help the environment then i will be getting a formal tour of port of spain, pick up a few tangible goods, head to queens circle for dinner again (im going to try and bring home some fresh juice) then the crew and i are going to attempt to stay up all night then off to the airport at 4am. hopefully all goes well. so i will see you all soon! but it will be a bit sad to leave this place.

oh an ps still the only one of the trip without a burn...great success, beyond belief!!!
