This morning we woke up and had the best hotel breakfast ever, a huge buffet with potatoes, fruit, pancakes, waffles, sausage basically anything you can imagine. We then bought a park ticket at the lobby and drove the 5 minutes to the National Park. We found a great parking space and followed the signs to the Grand Canyon. At first glance the Canyon almost looked fake, it was much larger then I could have imagined and looked gorgeous in the morning sun. We had great weather again today, sunny and sweater/light jacket weather. There was lots of snow on the ground but it wasn't too cold. We walked the entire paved Rim Trail throughout the day and went to all the look out locations. The only wildlife we saw was a family of deers. We also thought about going down a trail partway into the Canyon but it was covered in ice and didn't look too safe. After not eating lunch we were starving and ate at a restaurant in the Park. It was pretty good and not too overly priced for being in the Park. The main reason we ate there was we were waiting for sunset. About 6:15 we headed outside and caught the sunset over the Canyon. Lots of pretty colors but is was over as fast as it came. It was now getting very cold and we headed back to our hotel to watch the Olympics! The Grand Canyon was awesome but only really a day activity unless you plan on hiking down in the Canyon.
