Are you going to Vietnam? HCMC in particular?? ...then you better make sure to include this place in your itinerary!
The building is located in District 1, at #29-31 Ton That Thiep. If you do decide to see the place, plan it in the evening so that you can have your dinner, dessert, and then drinks afterwards~ all in one building! :)
For dinner, get ready for a delicious treat of Vietnamese barbecue on the rooftop of the building, named Quan Nuong, or more popularly know as 3T Barbecue (according to my expat friends, don't ask me why). It is an open-air restaurant that serve a variety of meats and seafoods that you can grill yourself on your table. Fantastic! Nevermind the hot oil burns on your arms while it cooks, it's worth-it, haha! ;) It must be their super secret barbecue sauce mix, as when you start cooking, the aroma is just mouth watering.
As for dessert, hop on down to Fanny's Ice Cream parlour at the ground level and have a taste of their rich tasting 100% natural ice cream flavours! I didn't get to try it though (so I don't have a picture as well), but my expat friends say it's very good. :)
And when it's time to unwind after that burst of energy from all that sugar-rush, drop by The Temple Club on the 2nd floor. The ambience is pretty unique with its mid-1900s decorations and dimly lit lounge. It is quiet, comfortable, and with soft music playing in the background.
I absolutely love this whole building! :D I heard 2 years ago that there was a relocation being planned, then after, I heard it's there to stay... I hope it is still there... does anyone know?
