Last day in Europe!

Its my last day over here...spending it in Venice. Today, we avoided the tourist traps and headed to the northeastern portion of the island, where, based on a recommendation from a fellow travbuddy user, we walked through the international modern arts festival. Saw some incredible and some not-so-incredible works of art, everything from poignant portraits of Venezualan natives to a seemingly pointless wave machine. Regardless, it was worth seeing, and, more importantly, there were far fewer tourists in the area. Walking the quiet streets of Venice is much more pleasurable than walking the packed ones.

We head back to the states tomorrow afternoon, and I arrive in Dallas around 10 oclock. I will then post as many photos as possible in the coming days.
