On the train ride to munich
We woke up at 6:20am to catch a 6:46 boat to lucerne, then an 8:10am train to zurich. The train ride from Zurich to munich was 5 hours which wasn't that bad at all. Once we arrived in munich we checked intothe hotel and hit the ground running. First we saw the Church of our Lady, then we saw the old town hall. We walked down on of the main shopping streets. We stumbled across a huge market with dozens of stands with meat, fruit, veggies, fish and much more. We also saw our first beer gardent.. one of many. Then we saw St. Peter's church and walked around the church. We were on our way to the Residenz we saw the Hofbrauhaus and then we bought gelato and bought some sounivers. WE finally found the residenz but unfortantley it was closed. WE waled around the cornor and found the theatherkise which was beautiful, all gold on the outside and acurally on the inside was holding german mass and we didn't know, so we saw 10 minutes of a german mass.
The main shopping street in munich
After seeing the church we walked across the street to the gardens of the residenz. WE saw Bochee ball, people relaxing in the sun and ofcourse drinking beer. Bow it is starting to get late so we start to walk back to teh hotel, have dinner and crash because we have an early start in the morning. In the morning we started bright and early at 8:00am for breakfast and headed toward the Deutsches Museum. I belive that this museum was very overwelming 5 to 6 floors filled wall to wall of everything you can imagine. After 3 hours in the museum and over 400 steps later we wated to move on to the next item. Even though the ticket was only $3 euro most of the exhibts didn't work or wasn't on display. The next attraction was munich zoo. We arrived at the zoo and had lunch, walked around for another 3 hours to see all the animals expecially the new 6 day old gorilla and it was time to move on to the next attraction.
Church of our lady
Which was the BMW museum and Olympic Park. The BMW museum was awesome you could sit in the cars and tour the museum. We toured for about an hour and had a snack break and moved on to Olympic Park. Olympic park is actually under some construction because they are on applicant city for 2018 winter olympics. We saw the olypmic size swimming pool, soccer fields and events arena. After walking around it started to rain and we were exhusted and headed back for dinner and then to the hotel to crash for the 7:13am train the next morning
