From Giwangan bus terminal some 4 km southwest of Yogyakarta I headed to Wonosobo changed bus at Magelang town. The first bus driven in speed that only risky-less-type-person would dare to take (the travelers I mean not the local). The driver simply honking all the way like an ambulance’s siren seeking way in busy street carrying a dying person. It was weekday and less traffic but still a ride to behold. When it turns on sharp corner without the slowing of the speed, I was wishing please don’t crash into the roadside stalls. It eases me out as its dual carriageway for 2 opposite direction.
It started drizzle and reaching Magelang Station to change bus it was raining. And the ride didn’t get anymore torture. It was minibus driven in speed in single carriageway 2 directions, a really bumpy ride. Picked and dropped passenger all along, there were school girl back from school couldn’t handle the ride and threw-up inside!
But the beautiful sceneries of impossibly green paddy field with Mount Sumbing at the background beats all. The bus climbing up gradually and I felt the temperature starts to drop. Beautiful villages of Secang, Temanggung on the foothill of Mount Sumbing, the drizzle and mist add to its beauty.
