The country town of Wonosobo is the access point to Dieng Plateau. The route from Wonosobo to Dieng was vastly breathtaking. The road is flanked by Volcano Mountains. The minibus I took climbed through vertiginous of hillside teracced fields planted with potatoes, spring onions, vegetables replaces with pine forest. Alongside, there’s local countrymen carrying vegetables/plants on their shoulders. Arriving Dieng Village I was dropped and the Dieng Village and the driver was persuading to use his service looping around covering the main sights. I skipped them; I was avoiding using any sort of guide minimizing the chance getting rip. The temperature was nice, it was very pleasant to walk around within reach.
Hired an Ojek for 5000 Rp to Telaga Warna I went inside the Lake Park. The 2 lakes were covered by pine trees and there was sacred cave too. Not many tourist but some local youth choosing it to be the venue for dating. A dreamy place I suppose. Ojek was waiting outside for another sight of Kawah Sikidang ( Sikidang Crater) for another 5000Rp. All in all 20,000Rp for to and back. We were riding at the back road behind Candi Arjuna Complex on the way back to the village where no entrance fee needed to get in. Glad that I managed to see the main Temple anyway, it was clustered together on a central plain.
