Today we had a boat ride to all the outlying islands booked and we had to be ready at 9am. We booked the trip through Ms Lee so she made sure that we were all awake. We were out partaking in the nightlife for a while the night before so the morning was feeling quite rough. The boat guy eventually walked past our place and rounded us and some others up into his entourage and led us to the docks. The boat was all good- at least it looked to be in good working condition and the crew looked like some goofballs. We got to pick between a cheese or tuna sandwich because lunch was included, I opted for the cheese. We were going to make seven stops and eventually return around 7pm so this was going to be a long day of swimming and snorkeling.
There were about 15 other people on the boat with a good mix of young, old, and families – so that was cool. The staff were a trip- when you would jump in they threw bread at you so the result was hundreds of fish all over you- invasion of your personal bubble. They also liked to hide under the boat and grab the ladies feet when they went to climb out- funny boat guys. The snorkeling was really tight and we had perfect weather the entire day. Another cool thing about the boat was you could jump off the upper decks- it had three levels and safety was not much of a concern. So every time we stopped it was time to head upstairs and jump in, the highest level did get slippery which meant you had to know what you were doing. A couple of Brazilian guys were all over that level. The last stop of the tour was Maya Beach and that was around sunset- once we headed back it was time for some Changs and lounging on top of a boat in the Andaman Sea.
