Our flight from Israel was great as the plane was only half full and we were able to grab our own row and lie across three seats and get a real nap in, the truest of ghetto upgrades. When the plan landed, it was mostly Italians onboard, everyone clapped. It didn’t seem to be a bumpy or prolonged flight, so I was wondering if this was some kind of Italian thing. We arrived in Rome in the afternoon and we had already booked a room at Hotel Il Castelletto, it was not far from the sights but not right up in them. We were only going to be here for two days and this place seemed up to the task. The hotel was nice and the staff seemed generally helpful, that’s always a plus. We were both quite hungry and excited about eating some pizza pie in Italy. Thus we made our way to the pizza place around the corner to put down some slices and chug some pop. The pizza here is really good and they sell it in squares so you can fold them over like a sandwich and go to work, they also had all kinds of toppings that I would never know what they were. Once we accomplished this feat it was time to do some relaxing, as we were planning on waking up very early to see all the sights that Rome had to offer.
