So, I guess I'll sound like a broken record if I go on and on once again about how beautiful a place is, right? Okay...I?ll try not to say it this time. :) The weird thing is that Zagreb's buildings are in fair disrepair when compared to the rest of Europe, but, y'know...that could have been ebcause of wars and stuff. :) There is a LOT of construction going on here...rivaled onlz by London. Ev and I figure that for the duration of the war there wasn't much emphasis on building and reparing, but surviving. And then after the war, emphasis was placed on reparing houses, stores, necessary buildings. So, right now, they're finally given the time to repair their older buildings that have been neglected for years.
Last night Ev and I chilled out at what I think is our favourite hostel (even though we're back in bunks and sharing with two other people) and chatted with an Australian who is living in England named Duncan. It was really cool and Ev and he got along well. I guess Ev can make friends! Who knew?! Hee hee... This morning we slept in - or, I guess I should clarify that I slept in, but Ev was up all night due to hitting his shoulder on a window the night before and was up in pain all night...poor boy - and then tried to hit the sights.
We were walking around the town and saw a bit of graffiti.. That is far from normal. In fact, it's more unusual to see a wall without graffiti. But this was the best graffiti ever. It was a stencil of Ben Savage. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Not Fred Savage, but Ben Savage circa Boy Meets World. Best. Graffiti. Ever. Someone went through the effort to make a Ben Savage stencil and then went out of their way to spray it on a wall with very little other graffiti so to make it stand out.. So awesome...
But other than that we've basically just walked around...tried to book Greek hostels to our anger due to the high high high prices on Mykonos....which we don't even want to SEEEEEE... grr... anyways... better post this so we can get the pics up before we run out of money. Tomorrow we hope to see some museums and...what else....I can hardly remember.....oh yeah.....TYPE O NEGATIVE!!!! Check out the photos back to Eger, won't ya? It's costing us billions to upload!! Hee hee..
