The beer in London is bigger than the beer in Canada. There is no such thing as "tallies" here... They're all tall.

The trip has finally started, which is good because we were looking forward to it so much..  Nice to see Chantal again, i know it's only been six weeks, but i missed her.. :)  The plane ride out was pretty damn shitty, especially the 1.5 hour layover in winnipeg during which i wasn't allowed out to smoke.. :(  the 2 hour wait for our bags wasn't too hot either, but once we got in, it started to sink in..  Dinner was the spiciest damn tandoori mutton imaginable (which probably wasn't such a good idea at 8 O'clock on my first night - my anus was on fire this morning :p).  Spent the day today wandering around for about five miles checking out all the big sights - westminister abbey, big ben, london bridge etc. and just soaking in the sights, sounds and smells (which aren't that great) of the city that started it all.... in Canada anyways..

Our hostel is nice and clean, with good, clean, warm showers, but there is a bar underneath that doesn't quiet down until about 4am..  good thing we had jet lag yesterday or it might have been a pain in the ass..  guess i'll have to hang out there until 4 so it doesn't bother me tonight.. :)  if we do the pub crawl kalin wants to do tonight, it might not bother me anyhow..  also gonna go check out 'the clink' - the medieval jail that gave all other jails their names..

better go anyway, me or kalin will post again soon..

Hi Everett and Kalin,

From what we have read, it sounds like your having the time of your life. We are so happy that you are able to fulfill a dream!! Sorry I didn't get to see you off when you left Edmonton. I did see you going through security and we tried to get your attention, but I was two minutes too late. What is your favorite beer now or you still hooked on Newcastle? Hope Kalin's blister heals up quickly. I suppose all the spices on the mutton made the meat more palitable to enjoy, not sure if I would have enjoyed that choice, but I am not surprised you tried it. Hope to see some photo's soon. We love you and miss you already.
