In a nutshell, I had plans to rant rave about my adventures about getting to my apartment, then I decided against bad karma. Rather, I only relate to the humor side of tis story.
Now, you're wondering about the big fish, tis an actual restaurant; quite big, noticeable fish to represent seafood eatery. Tis where taxi dropped me off because he couldn't get to the street (that much traffic after 1600hrs) of the apartment. No one there to greet me or tell me where I need to go, which of course, is quite impossible since I had two large suitcases, two carry-ons and one box of apples (yes, SA gladly offered since he doesn't eat apples).
I paid the fare, but ensured to get receipt... then I waited ... for almost 10 seconds, till I heard my name being called. A middle age Chinese man with glasses was running across street, he walked up to me and started speaking Chinese. Now, as mentioned, I understand more than I can speak, thank goodness I understood him. Not sure how to explain how we managed, but we did reach the street and apartment front door ... of course, I can say, what a comical sight.
Another top floor without elevator, I'm certain (and as Elke mentioned.. I'll have shapely legs before long) I've saved quite large sums of money without going to gym for both cardiovascular and power stepper workout, all what I need is right here when I return from office.
Taken photos of the apartment AFTER I had made the place more liveable... I don't mind small places, nevertheless, my turn in possessing the larger bedroom. Any place is home for me, as long as I am comfortable... and my apartment is NOW suitable for easy slumber.
Still wondering if my assigned roommate will ever arrive.... not saying that I truly want a flatmate....
