Lantern Festival begins which ends Spring Festival... tis the end of the dragon's tail
...or as I was told, the trail of the Dragon's Tail, fireworks started early tis afternoon and hasn't stopped yet.

I didn't move into my new apartment yet, Director sadly had to inform I had till Monday due to Lantern Festival in which most of the workers had half shift today to celebrate the end of Spring Fest. So, I spent most of my time at SA's apartment, did upload a few stock images (which were later rejected... blah), studied Chinese phrases... watched a few movies, and watched snowflakes fall from the grey skies...

As evening approaches and night blankets the skies, I finally decided to take more photos of fireworks in hopes these will later get accepted (can't post presently, again, not my computer, till my laptop is hooked up.. you'll have to wait for the video of the city being lit with fireworks).
Capturing a perfect firework flower burst is not all that simple
Nearly froze my hands, the freezing winds were brutal, but I did my best in capturing whatever possible.

Later, received text from SA, he inquired if I had any dinner and that I join him (he later confessed he was concerned that I haven't been eating properly... sweet guy). As I walked outside, the night skies were still being lit by the exploding fireworks and the bigger bombs were setting off car alarms (horns blaring, headlights blinking), and the streets were lit with mini bonfires; I felt as though I was going through a minefield.

I hopped onto a tram to meet SA at KFC/MCDonalds... tram was idled after a few yards because boxed fireworks were setting off streamer bombs into the air and stopped traffic for a good five minutes. After a bit, cars decided to drive around the boxes, although still shooting, the tram didn't move till all was (temporarily from the boxed explosions) quiet.

Dinner was filling and fantastic ... yes, I returned with leftovers. I'll write a review about the restaurant once I obtain name from SA and take photo of location... so if ever you're in Dalian...

We both boarded a taxi, which dropped me off first for which he had a meeting to attend. As I type tis entry, the fireworks still hasn't stopped, and I'm exhausted, sleepy and welcome slumber; hope to obtain a good night's rest.

... well, I was given the news that I won't move into my apartment till tomorrow in KeJi GuangChang, Future 3 location, the main office of the 7 schools. Oh, how frustrating, but probably the wait should be worth the patience. So, I didn't go shopping for my items for my apartment, rather I stayed at SA's flat and started practicing my speaking Chinese. I'm determined in learning tis language.

Just finished watching my favorite inspirational film "To Sir, With Love" which reminds me that one can be quite passionate about teaching, also theme gives me encouragement...

I do have strong feelings that I'll manage very well at tis school.
