Toledo, Spain Travel Photos

One of the facts that impacted me about this city is how they preserve the medieval buildings and they build very fashionable restaurants and bars. Inside it is extremely modern, while the outside is kept the way it was hundres of years ago. This place is 100% design, everything in white with very elaborated dishes and bottles of wine everywhere. Prices were quite low, well almost all restaurants in the city are quite unexpensive compared to Madrid, which is only 30 minutes by car. Besides this restaurante, they also have the only 5 star hotel in the city. By the way, if you are not hungry and you want to have dinner somewhere else, just stop by to have a glass of wine. They will recommend you a good one! It is worthwhile to pay a visit...

It is an old synagogue in the middle of town, just at the end of "Calle alfileritos". It is a cultural building managed by Toledo´s city hall, and they organize multiple cultural acts. During the day they have exhibitions, concerts, theatre and at night you have live music and the coolest club. In the afternoon, if there is no exhibition, you can have a coacktail. I ordered a strawberry daikiri... Mmmmmm... Last year I assisted to a "flamenco" concert and this weekend there was a rock concert, well more than rock I would say heavy metal! Check the webpage, they keep you informed about what´s happening next!
From 01-06-2007 to 10-06-2007 there is a big "seafood feast" going on in Toledo. All seafood comes from Galicia and it is just remarkable. We ate seafood until we could not eat any more for only 25 euros each including a bottle of "Alvariño", typical white wine from Galicia. If you ask me for a recommendation, order a "Mariscada especial" for 2! It includes lobster! and for wine "Albariño D.O. Rías Baixas. They organize it every year, but just make sure when it is happening next, it might not be at the same exact dates. Eventhough it is a big event in the city, not too many foreign people know about it, so you will only find people from Toledo. It was just funny to find a "seafood" feast in the center of Spain ;)
Just superb! I used to recommend La Hacienda in Toledo, a good restaurant too, but this one is just the place. It is in the center of town, where all the cool bars and nightlife happens. It is located in a beautiful street, very well kept and the inside is just amazing. It is a tapas bar, but well presented and with high quality. It has nothing to do with the rest of the "tapas" places around. I would recommend you to order a "tabla", I am attaching a picture of it! If you go around 10:30pm you will find it quite busy but they also play very good music. Not sure if you can book a table... good service, awesome food and very cheap! for 2 people we paid 30 euros!
check the floor! it is beach san
It is located 100 metres from "Puerta Visagra" which is the main entrance to the city. If you want to leave your car in the parking lot and to move walking everywhere, this is a very good option. Eventhough it is a 3 star hotel, breakfast was good, rooms are very well maintained and clean and reminds you to those old castles. They did not have regular rooms available, so we had to stay in a room for 4 people, which was extremely big! And for that huge room they charged us 91 euros. They also have a nice restaurant, but we didn't have the chance to try it.
