From Manuel Antonio, we took an Interbus shuttle (you book
in advance.. sooo much better than public transport) to La fortuna
where we stayed at Arenal Volcano Inn. like all the hotels in that
area, you have a great view of the amazing Arenal Volcano. no more ants
in the bed :) although there were some fascinating bugs in the room,
including a cute spider which i almost killed but granted mercy to at
the last minute because he looked so scared :(. so the first full day
there we went on these amazing ziplines (Sky Adventure). not all
ziplines are created equal, some are pretty slow and short, and kinda
lame, well this one was absolutely fantastic. words cannot describe.
there were about 9 lines? total and the 2 biggest and fastest ones were
INCREDIBLE... flying through the air at 60 mph from high up in the
mountains overlooking the jungle and the Arenal volcano, i loved it.
the next day we went white water rafting on the rio toro (category 4
rapids) - this was probably the most fun out of any adventure
activities ive ever done. i can't wait to go again! the next day after
that we did a waterfall repelling excursion with desafio adventure co.- this was pretty cool and
lovely scenery, you repel down some pretty high waterfalls, but it
didnt have the excitement factor like white water rafting or the
ziplines. it was overpriced too.
