More road.

Colorado is known for its amazing color palette!!  When the sun begins to set the colors begin to dance!

We are Fort Morgan,co  for a few days. We delivered a couple days ago at a remote wind farm located about 50 plus miles away and are currently kinda stranded here due to confusion and trivial business conflicts. We can't move because we don't know if we are going to Texas for the next load or Illinois.. Its a bit frustrating not to know whats going on with work, but of course I make the best of it and explore my surroundings! :)

After listening to my dad argue over the phone for the day, and wrestling with some personal thoughts and feelings that make me feel rather down about myself, I decided to make some use of the remaining sunlight.

The odd house
I grab my camera, jump in Simone, pick a direction and drive out of town toward nowhere. I have no idea how far I will go, where this road will take more or what I will find. I love these Western country highways. They just go on forever and I always find some solace in that. These vast open roads always help me clear my head and help me find my center when life begin to feel out of balance.

I was ecstatic to find an abandon building during my drive. I don't know whether it is an old farm house turned into storage or if it was built for another purpose. all the windows have been boarded up with several pieces of rotting wooden boards. The interior didn't look like a normal house layout, but the walls looked like they have been painted at one point.. Inside were these long metal bars connecting the doorways together. They looked like they were separating sections of rooms or maybe for hanging objects over to dry.. Behind the building was a shed for large farm equipment.

From there I just continued driving, stopping a few times to take a picture. I explored some of the dirt county roads. It was fun to look at the setting sun through a cloud of dust kicked up by my Simone!

Eventually the sun was gone and I had to return back to the hotel.
