Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point behind us

Golden Gate - woke up at 8 and headed to Golden Gate.  took tons of pix.  We didn't walk on the bridge, since we were pressed for time.

Presidio (NHS) - went here afterwards, but the place was still closed.  http://www.nps.gov/prsf/

Crissy Field (NHS)- Nice lazy Sunday hangout with family!  Lots of ppl playing outside, kites, picnics, etc.  Crissy Field was the military‚Äôs first Air Coast Defense Station on the Pacific coast.

Fort Point (NHS)- Right below the Golden Gate Bridge.

Fort Point Entrance. Walked from Crissy Field to get here.

Japantown - like about 4 blocks.  4 different malls, kinda reminded me of Dynasty mall on Bellaire.  It was weird coz there was some anime event going on and all these young adults were wearing anime costume! OKKaay!  And they were mostly puti, not even Japanese. lol  They sold some pretty cool stuff, but too expensive for me.  We ate lunch at a nearby japanese restaurant.  It was nice!

Palace of Exploration Arts - Thomas told us about this so we decided to go since it was on the way to Muir.  It's a replica of roman columns from Italy.  It's where Sean Connery's character was talking to his daughter in the movie "The Rock"!

Muir Woods (NPS)- To continue on our National Sites excursion, we drove north to Muir Woods about 30 minutes from San Francisco.

Fort Point
We walked a few yards on the main trail, then Thomas noticed on the park map a trail called Ocean View.  So we were all, OH cool, we get to see a view of the ocean!  But first, we had to hike Fern Creek Trail to Lost Trail to get to Ocean View Trail.  We were walking along a nice little pathway, nice scenery, passed by the oldest tree in the park that recently fell.  Thirty minutes, 45 min. pass, the trail starts to turn to a dusty path way without rails, a little rugged, minor steep inclines.  We're thinking, oh man, did we turn on wrong path?  An hour passes, we continue to climb UPwards, it's starting to get HOT, we no longer run into other trail hikers!!  We cross rinky dink bridges that are close to falling apart! lol  We still don't see a glimpse of the ocean!  Alas, we see a few trekkers heading toward us from ahead.  We figure, oh man, we must be close to the ocean view!  Finally, we see signs!!  But it was signs for MORE trails! lol  However, according to our park map that would lead us back to the main entrance!  FINALLY LIKE after 2 hours our hike ended!  We had no idea it would take that long!

After 2 hours, we still didn't see an "ocean view."  Here's why:  The Ocean View Trail (Note: Also called the Panoramic Trail - Was named the Ocean View Trail when a fire cleared the view to the ocean, the trees have since regrown.

Tito Jr's. - We probably arrive at Tito Jr.'s in Dublin close to 8p!  They took us to In & Out Burger for dinner because they knew Anthony loves that burger joint!  Tito Jr. ordered us the Animal style burger and fries!  Animal style is their special sauce. Tasted sorta like thousand Island dressing mixed with grilled onions!  It was pretty good!
