After reading poor Elke's situation the other day, I had invited her over to share the spare bed in my hotel room. I do understand the requirement of having a hot shower and water sprinkling down one's body... (ok, I promise to be censored here). Poor dear, she finally felt so refreshed when she had her religious experience in the bathroom. However, that night after watching an interesting movie of a book she read, Elke and I retired for the evening.
Now, I was reaching my REM when I suddenly coughed and the rest of my night was living insomnia hell, do keep in mind, no Elke had nothing to do with me not sleeping... meaning I didn't hear her snore till morning. Nevertheless, when my alarm finally awaken me at 0500hrs, I was almost dragging to get out of bed, but finally did my effort and after my ritual of getting ready, I was dressed by 0630hrs.
Elke is a heavy sleeper and I know that I make an unusual roommate for anyone, bless her heart for not going insane with me. I mean, I made my Skype calls to my two FL friends, of one of whom she later flirted after her wonderful 2nd shower of the next day... My buddy, Kirk, such a wonderful guy... those two made playful conversation.
Today was our outing with Sophia, Damin (her classmate) and Damin's father (Sophia refers as Uncle). We all taken bus to Sophia's side of town which looked very rustic and forgotten which was a true photographer's dream. Sophia (taking Uncle) had went food shopping for lunch today whilst Damin, Elke and I went in search of a strap for my camera, which we couldn't find anything of need, but I did see great photo opportunities.
We then walked to Sophia's apartment which also a cultural experience, will post photos soon as possible, and the atmosphere of her apartment reminded me the type of apartment I would've selected being single and working my first job.
Later, Sophia taken Elke and I to the local temple, although crowded, Elke and I did our best in taking photos ... Murphy's Law ... see a perfect seen, then as soon as you raise the camera to focus, someone steps into frame... UGH!!
We returned taking bus back into Chengdu, Damin and her father had gotten off their stop, later we did and thanked again Sophia for a wonderful lunch and sharing her apartment and time with us. I then said that I wondered of my flat when I arrive in Dalian by 24 Feb...
Sure enough, on Skype, the director explained that the school wanted to settle me into my apartment before training started, however, learned that place has "water issues".
Murphy's Law made plenty of rules today...
