There is actually quite a bit of things to see in Springfield. We visited the:
Korean War Museum which was really informative. Ive not really learned that much about the Korean war in school (I havent had History in High School as i went to trade school) so this was very interesting.
Surveying Museum - What surveying is all about! Quite interesting about how pieces of property are meassured.
Old state Hall - This was the highlight in Springfeld. Here we saw the old state Hall with all the old rooms. We got an informative guided tour , caught a concert and even a play which was half Lincoln and Half Romeo and Juliet. I think i fell asleep during this play but it was really good. It was just the lack of sleep for the previous night.
We also drove up to Lincoln's tomb and its quite impressive lying a little more than a mile from downtown springfield. From there we pulled onto the Interstate to get to Chicago as soon
