Me overtaking someone at Gocarts :D

I was called upon to return to work the 8th of March and we where going to sign on in Recife in Brazil. I flew from from Sandane and through airports Oslo , Amsterdam , Lisboa before i arrived at Recife.

Well there in Recife we where told that the ship was delayed for a few days and we had to spend severak days in the hotel. Not a bad idea getting paid while being on vacation in Brazil.

I didnt really do so much in Recife as I came down with a feever while i was there , but we did manage to ride the Gocarts not once , but twice. I placed 2nd in both races as Mr pumpey was about half a second in average faster than me. I did however lap the other people 3-4times :)

The 3rd day me and another guy went on a stroll in sunny Recife. We walked around in the old and new parts of town stopping for a beer at certain intervals. We visited and oil railway station , the white fort and walked for about 6-7km/t. It was a pleasant walk and it completely knocked me out not being completely well from the feever.

The highlights is however the Churrascaria restaurant near the Park Hotel. Its food where really good and a bargain at 35 realis pr person. There where also quite comfortable lazing on the beach with a beer in one hand and a coconut in the other hand :)

Bad hotel , on the beach, but 8km from the city center
The Hotel itself is nothing special. It seems to be a little run-down and the aircon in every room is very noisy. The only reason why i stayed here wa… read entire review
