Erasmus for four days

Isn't that great: your favourite cousin goes on an Erasmus Exchange to Florence, one of the most beautiful cities in Italy, or even in Europe, and he invites you to come and meet up. Cheap ticket with Ryan Air, perfect time of the year... All good! Of course I said "yes" when he asked me to come!
These four days in Florence were as if I was on Erasmus myself, guided by my cousin. First of all we met up with some of his Italian, and some of his Erasmus friends, have the necessary couple of beers. We had some relaxed moments smoking a Tuscan sigar in one of the nice parks of the city, and since my cousin is a real genius when it comes to culture he gave me a crash course in the history of Florence, the art, the architecture and the myths of the Renaissance that is visible everywhere here.
As a small bonus I decided to go to Pisa on the day he had to go to university, and there I was impressed by the beauty of the "Piazza dei Miracoli": the square where you find the famous pending Tower of Pisa, and a lot of other great buildings in the same style. And another extra was the visit to the Europa League match between the local football team Fiorentina against Glasgow Rangers from Scotland. Too bad the Italians lost, but it was still a great match!
