London at last

What a drama this trip was. And the idea was so great! I planned a nice trip to the south of England together with two good friends of mine. We were going by car, and take the ferry from the north of France. Then spend a day in Brighton, two days in London and a day driving around in the area. But...when we got to the port the passport of one of my friends turned out to be expired: so no boarding on the ferry, no trip to England...
That was an aweful situation: it was supposed to be a trip with the three of us, but in the end we decided to go back to the north of France the next day and to go without him. Too bad for him, but hey: London's calling! With more than a day of delay we finally arrived in Dover, and after a short visit to the local football team Dover Athletic and the cliffs we had to skip the visit to Brighton and we went to London straight away. There, we did a little bit of the necessary sightseeing, but the most of the time we just followed the principle "When in England, act like the English". And that meant for us: drinking beer, eating fish and chips, and visiting a great football match: Fulham vs. Aston Villa.
And the last, important thing we had to do during this trip to England was of course buying a nice souvenir for my unlucky friend. At least you'll pay attention to his expiry date from now on... Let it be a warning... :)
