A last minute sale ticket to Bangkok...

Splurge at Krabi

at the deck

Packed our stuff and ran to the port for the 9 am ferry to Krabi :) It was packed with people...many girls (thai) crying...i wonder why... :

we sat on the deck along with other backpackers and Marco made a little friend on board while i wrote my travel diary (moleskine)

one hour and a half later we arrived krabi and as we have arranged a taxi, a lady was waiting for us on the port. She took us to her little shop and we waited for about an half an hour for the taxi...meanwhile we had some ice creams on her shop ..

She asked us where were we from.. and she said she never saw portuguese people around..and asked us how many we were back in our country..."10 millions??? no wonder i never see portuguese...only in Bagkok there are 17 million people..." hehehe.

She came with us, all the way to the resort...after all..it wasn't common that backpackers would go to such expensive resort (she didn't know about our deal :) :) )

As we got there, she was astonished with it..and so were we :) the staff was very very friendly..and all they asked us was not to make noise, because this was a quiet place..

I must say we were a little embarassed as we looked so lousy in such a pretty place..hahaha..

we said goodbye to the lady untill the next day (she would pick us up at 5 pm next day to go to the airport)

A girl showed us around the resort and lead us to our great room :) amazing place, very "blue spirit" . Had a BLT at the restaurant and went to the spa :)  for a real Thai Massage....talking about splurging .

travellers..
..ehhe... still feeling Zen, we ran to the beach just in time to catch the beautiful sunset over the Hong Islands ... sitting on our fat boys on the sand, we drooled over the amazing scenery.

We met the responsible of the hotel who advised us to arrange a long tail boat for the next day to visit the Hong Islands. And so we did. For 1700 baht (splurge...splurge...) we would have a long tail and a guide for the day.

Dinner was at the amazing restaurant of the Tubkaak, where all the staff (including the cooker) were really friendly (and sometimes..overly friendly...:p ) with some lobster and seafood.

To finish this great day we went for a walk on the beach (did i mention that it was freakin' hot?? )but this wasn't a good idea, as there were millions of crabs running around on the sand...

went to sleep :)
