the day started late.....we didn't hear the alarm clock so got up around 12.30.... and missed breakfast :(

We left the room to find a place for breakfast and found this place called Panan :) very good food! I missed that Muesli yoghurt (not much Thai, i know...)

The weather was nasty and it seemed that it would rain anytime..after all we were in low season...

We tried to find out the way to go to Railay, but everyone was telling us that it was raining too much so there are no boats doing the ride....

So we waited for a couple hours at the pier and watched the rain while we couldn't find a way to go to Railay...

Finally, a guy from one of those tourist offices told us we could rent a longtail for 600 baht! (The usual fare is 60 baht pp...) As we were so desperate, and the rain didn't seem to calm down,we decided to do that...

Gladly we found a french couple willing to share the longtail to Railay :) Talking about travelling light : they just had a tiny backpack and were travelling for a looooooooong time!! a good example to follow.

Raining cats and dogs...
..

So, we hoped into the longtail and believe me...it was raining and raining...we got soaked..and so did our backpaks. We couldn't see nothing when we got to Railay West. We jumped into the ocean and ran through the beach into some bungalows. That was a nice shelter for all that rain...We left our backpacks there, took off our soaking clothes and ran into the hot ocean.

The water temperature was great...and under that rain it felt even better :) Meanwhile a guy approached our backpacks and we ran there…it was a guard! After all “our shelter” was only one of the most expensive resorts of the area • Rayavadee!! We were expelled from the place…into to the beach ..and it was still raining so much. We couldn’t see a thing! Desesperate we looked for another shelter and saw some other bungalows around…Ths Sand Sea Bungalows sound perfect…

I really don’t remember how much we paid, but it was a good price for a deluxe fan bungalow plus breakfast.

Raining at Railay
We took all our clothes from the backpacks and they’re soaking…after changing we went to see Railay East. it was only a 150 mts walk to the other side and it wasn't raining that much anymore...

Once we got to Railay east, we were sure that we've done a good choice about Railay West. On this side the beach was muddy and there were all mangroves...Many guesthouses around here though..and cheap!

Went back to our beach for a swim once more and then went for dinner at the Railay Village..nice food! Fried rice with chicken J I had forgotten the taste of it already…..

After that, went for a coffee and some tea at the Red Coffee bar and talk for a long time with the owner. *sweet*
