Hong Islands and more

The next day we woke up and went for breakfast. What a great view…and this really was a quiet place J

 

After that, we met at the beach with our guide. Hoped in to the longtail and went straight to our first stop.

 

It was a ½ hour ride to the first island (koh hong, I think..). It was a national park with a lovely bay with thousands of fishies…and not many people.

 

This island was hit by the tsunami in 2004 and you could still see many boats destroyed in the middle of the forest..there was even a memorial to those who died… L sad.

 

This was such a small island that there really was no escape…

 

Now you can spot many signs of evacuation and even a warning bell…will it work?

 

After an hour or 2, we hoped in again and went to the next stop, another bay with a sand bank in the middle…I had never felt such hot ocean water… amazing.

Our next stop was “Paradise beach” ..and this was really paradise…we were the only ones there so we could swim on our wish J  we fed the fishes with pineapple and in a couple seconds I was literally attacked by thousands of them..

Our last stop was at another beautiful beach: Ko Pak Bia … I can’t tell you wich one was the best one…we had such an overdose of beautiful sceneries…

We went back to the resort at 16h00, grabbed a sandwich and went to the taxi that was already expecting us. We met the lady again, who wanted to know every little detail J

Got to the airport and got the Air Asia flight back to Bangkok. When we arrived, we got  a taxi to Kao San Road (400 baht), where I knew we could easily get accommodation…back to backpacking life!

We ended up staying at the Buddy Lodge (2000 baht) and went up and down the street to have dinner…Pad Thai and some beef on the stick..everything remains the same (I was there 6 months earlier…).

Went for some beer at the most known bar and then, ended up at the Café de Tour, with some live music…

.....what a great day J  with a great end.....
