Grand Palace

This was our last day in Thailand. Ir sure was little time for this trip..

As I had been in Bangkok few months before, I took Marco to the best spots of the city to get a little glimpse of it…

We had breakfast at the Buddy Lodge, left our backpacks there and headed to the Grand Palace... After a long walk under the sun…

Marco was wearing shorts, so he wasn’t allowed in…and the people in the line waiting for pants were so many, that we gave up the Grand Palace….and went to Wat Pho.

On the way there, we crossed the Amulet Market where we bought like a dozen of them J you never know…when you going to need protection..!

After the reclining Budha at Wat Pho, we catched the Chao Praya River Express and the Sky train and had lunch at the Food Hall in the Siam Paragon. Delicious….

I know that eating at a mall might be depressing…but this one, is very good due to the choice, good food.. and the price is very “friendly” J

As we has some time, we catched the river express again and stoped at Rachaweng for Chinatown. I loooooooooove this place…all the people, the smells…the food…neat!

Catched a Tuk Tuk from here to Kao San Road (100baht), where we did some shopping (we bought another backpack..the one from Costa Rica was wasted…) and had our last beer in Thailand

We catched a taxi to the Airport (350baht) and then…we were supposed to catch a plane to London at midnight…it didn’t happen… and we stayed an extra night at some airport hotel in Bangkok..

Of course..when we got to London..we lost our connection flight to Lisbon…and stayed another night at another airport hotel in London

2 days after leaving bankok, we got to Lisbon J

derekbilldaly says:
Its a reall shame about all the flight delays coming home but its great to see that it could not spoil the great time you had.
I only have a short time there this August so Im happy to see you were able to fit in so much.
Thanks for sharing!
