Waikiki Beach just across the street from my hotel.
The next day Keith picked up me, Lola, Rosie, Sue, Virginia, and Robert. While I was waiting for Keith I took a walk down to the beach and took some photos. The weather was beautiful. We met up with the rest of the group near Wendy and Sue's Hotel. We began our road trip around the Island. During certain parts of our drive it began to rain. Some of us drove with Keith and others with Christian. Our first destination was Chinaman's Hat which is located off the shore of Kualoa Park, in Kaneohe Bay. We hung out for a while taking photos and admiring the scenery.
We then hoped back in the car and continued up the coast.
Along the way Keith talked about the Island and many of the sites along the way. In my opinion one of the most interesting destinations was when we stopped at subway so Keith and Christian could get there foot longs...lol! J/K. One thing I learned about Keith is that he love's his sandwiches! Personally, I decided to hold out for the shrimp shack we were headed next. The rest of us had lunch at Fumi's Shrimp Farm. They had great selections of fried and grilled shrimp. I had a half order of garlic butter shrimp and coconut shrimp with salad and a slice of pineapple!
We then continued on and headed to the famous Sunset Beach on Oahu's North Shore! I was told it is home to many of the world famous surf competitions including Duke Kahanamoku Classic surfing competition, the O'Neill World Cup of Surfing competition.
I had a great time hanging out on the sand and throwing Lola in the water!! She gave me permission... =D Rosie also had a great time getting tossed around the rough waves. She's a real trooper when it comes to being adventurous! The water was beautiful, definitely a place to revisit.
We then headed up the coast to some more destinations. We stopped at Haleiwa Beach Park where Rosie, Virginia, and I explored the Beach while Lola and Keith relaxed on the beach. We then continued back down the coast towards Waikiki passing other sites like the Dole Plantation and the pineapple fields.
Keith then dropped us off at our hotels to get ready for our night at Dave and Busters. We met up later that evening to eat dinner and play games. After we cruised to another bar and drank!!! Virginia took her first Irish Car Bomb with me! FYI.... I pressured her entire trip to take shots with me... what a trooper! Shots…shots…shots... lol.. Thanks V! Then it was Keith’s turn. We took a Sambuca shot... smooooooooooth!!!!! lol Thanks Keith!! We had another great day!
