Mount Kinabalu
If you like nature and enjoy green environment, you will like Kota Kinabalu which is located on the Borneo island in Sabah, Malaysia. Mount Kinabalu is the place you have to see. I stayed one night in Sutera Sanctuary Lodges that looks to the mountain. The lodges is located in the national park where visitors can also enter and walk in the park until 4pm. If you want to climb to Mount Kinabalu mountain (4095 meters / 13,435 ft), it takes approx. 2 days and you should consider walking 7 hours. If it is much for you, you may try second way to climb - by helicopter. However, weather conditions may not let you do it.
I also stayed couple of nights at the Magellan Sutera Hotel. Best hotel in town. Sutera Harbour Resort has two 5-star hotels, 27 hole golf course, marina. The resort has beautifully landscaped swimming pools, a 12-lane bowling alley, a mini cinema, snooker rooms, covered and open tennis courts, badminton and squash courts, safe and modern playgrounds, fitness centres, karaoke lounges, luxury spas, watersport facilities.

The resort also offers free round-trip shuttle service between hotel and the city center where you may want to shop.
