Off to Cluj!

We left early in the morning from Somerset for London Luton Airport to get our Wizz Air (first time using these guys) flight to Cluj-Napoca on thursday morning. Arriving there without any trouble, beyond Craig cursing like a sailor for forgetting to get out any Romanian money beforehand, we had some breakfast in an Italian place (don't ask) while waiting for our delayed flight (only 50 minutes but my friend was especially miffed as he's never had a flight delay before! I don't think he realised quite how lucky he'd been up to that point...) and then departed for Transylvania. After arriving and getting through immigration (this took a while as my friend had "wrong ears") we collected our baggage and essentially got ripped off by the taxidriver to get to the hotel.
After unpacking our stuff, we headed our into Cluj to see the sights, mostly churches and the theatre. After stopping by the tourist information centre and discovering that there's no trips out to castles availible in the winter (the reason we wanted to come here in the first place) we decided to create one ourselves using the fantastic rail service of Romania (I'll come back to that)! After much wandering around various streets and probably some places we shouldn't of and tiredness from being up many hours, we retreated back to the hotel, ordered in, watched a football game (PSV Eindhoven vs Utercht) and went to sleep ready for our trip the next morning.
