Newark Liberty International
Plane sat about on the apron and for some reason was put into Terminal B, usually Continental internaional flight go into Terminal C. Wandered along for a bit to get to passport control, where there were only to posts open. Must have been a donought break as soon there were half a dozen others who appeared together and the queue started moving quickly. Guy was pleasant enough and asked very few questions as I had my fingerprints scanned.
Had to hang about for a while at baggage reclaim to get my rucksack and then out through customes who were totally disinterested, apart from collecting in the white cards we had had to fill in on the plane. Having looked up the arrival point I knew to follow the sigs for the Airtrain, and at the bottom of the escalator bought NJ Transit ticket to get into New York which cost $15 from the automatic ticket machine.
Monorail runs every 3 minutes and was soon at the train station and only had to wait 10 minutes for train into New York Penn Station, which was 4 stops and half an hour away. Not a great first impression of New York, but you soon get over that :)
