Now I set myself into motion, I walked and walked and then jogged and ran, all along hearing them calling out to me ... I had to reach the top ... it was never ending ... where was the top ... was this the top (and I'd take pics) ... walked a lot further ... was this the top (but I couldn't see the Pacific) ... walked for a great distance, my heart was beating quickly ... Don't think I exercised this much since giving birth 3.75 months ago ...
All I thought inside was: 'what if I can't make it back to Honolulu' ... so I just kept encouraging myself to continue all the way up, while Daniel, Lola, and V were getting anxious ... Hypothetically, if we had discussed prior how far we'd go up Mariners Ridge, I doubt we would have agreed to reach the top .
WOWWWWWWW ... it was so beautiful up here ... I quickly took pics and returned going faster down the hill then going up so that they could finally see me and know that we could all walk back together to Aloha's(aloha_keith) place, jump in the car, head out to Duke's, and enjoy the night in Waikīkī
What ... looking at the pics I took on top ... what the .... my ISO was set at 1,600 on a bright day ... how/what/how come/why me ... I had set it in my mind that I'd reach the top and for what .
I do have a reason to return ... to go back up and enjoy the walk (not at such a fast pace) and pull out a tripod and set the camera up properly ... I was only thinking of getting back and forgot ... practically into a jog, I begin hearing Daniel and then I see him ... he tried catching up to be sure I was OK ... the girls Lola and V were safe with each other ... well a smile came on my and Daniel's face and then I walked in front of him ... my speed a bit faster, well where is Daniel ...
My 'rescuer', Daniel, fell on his butt, camera and all ... I was not going to miss out on snapping up a shot of him slipping ... hehe
I knew I should have gone with a TB partner, but I will never regret going up and I knew all along there were three TB'ers concerned for my well-being ... thanks guys and thanks for sticking around!!
Do what you can, I say ... and REACH THE TOP as I did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
